DECONSTRUCTING THE PICHHWAI

Although traditionally a historic religious textile, today the Picchwai is a ubiquitous textile for home décor across the world. KAASH identified elements of the Picchwai in textile designer and artist Jayshree Poddar’s ouvre and curated an immersive exhibit of her works. The exhibition opened with a talk by Professor B N Goswamy and was held in the November of 2021.
